When I am on an exchange
Changes in the study plan
If any changes are made in your study plan (Learning Agreement) after admission to the partner university, e.g. if the course you were to take is cancelled or the clinical placement does not work as agreed, you must inform your international coordinator and the academic contact person in your study programme. The change in your study plan must be approved, as it could affect the credit transfer when you return. The partner university is to confirm the change and your study plan is to be updated.
Certificate from the partner university
It is important that you have all the certificates and assessment forms required for credit transfer. Get in touch with your contact person at the partner university and ask for all the certificates you have agreed on in your study plan. You can often get a Transcript of Records (equivalent to a Ladok transcript). Prior to credit transfer, you may also need course descriptions and certificates from other activities during your studies.
Crisis situations
You are responsible for your own safety during your period abroad. In case something happens, there is help available. Please note that it is important to save the documents you receive in connection with a police report. The same applies for receipts relating to any expenses.
If you experience study-related stress or anxiety, get in touch with your contact person at the partner university to see what kind of support they can offer. You can also receive support from the Student Health Centre at Lund University.
